Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for families and teachers using Miatta Tales.
Are the storybooks free?
Yes. All ten stories in the current library are free to read. Premium books are future concepts only; there is no checkout.
Do children need an account?
No. Reading, quiz practice, and downloads do not require an account.
How does read-aloud work?
It uses the browser or device's speech synthesis feature. Voice options and playback depend on the browser and device.
Why did my saved progress disappear?
Favorites and reading progress are saved in this browser's local storage. Clearing browsing data, using private mode, or switching devices can remove or hide progress.
Can I download the storybooks?
Stories can be read on the site. Free printable worksheets are available as PDFs in the Parent & Teacher Corner.
What are the age recommendations?
They are approximate suggestions to help adults choose stories. They are not standardized reading levels or assessments.
Can teachers print worksheets?
Yes. Worksheets created by Miatta Tales can be printed for personal or classroom use.
How can I remove saved reading data?
Use the Clear Reading Progress control in My Reading Journey. Favorites can be removed using their heart buttons. Clearing site data in your browser removes both.
Are external free libraries part of Miatta Tales?
No. External links open other organizations' websites, which have their own rules and privacy practices.
How do I contact the site?
